Financial Literacy That Actually Sticks
Six months of practical budget skills starting September 2025
Most people muddle through their finances hoping things work out. Our program takes a different approach—we help you build habits that last, not just knowledge that fades. You'll work through real scenarios, not textbook examples that feel disconnected from your actual life.

What You'll Learn
Real Money Skills for Real Life
The thing about budgeting is that it's not complicated—but somehow everyone makes it feel that way. We strip away the jargon and focus on what matters: tracking where your money goes, making decisions that align with your goals, and communicating about finances without the stress.
- Track spending patterns without feeling micromanaged by spreadsheets
- Build emergency funds that don't drain your account every month
- Navigate household budget conversations with less friction
- Plan for larger purchases without derailing your monthly stability
- Understand credit and debt in practical, actionable terms
Meet Your Facilitators
Three people who've helped hundreds navigate their financial journeys
Sienna Blackwood
Budget Communication Specialist
Spent twelve years working with families who thought they were terrible with money—turns out they just needed better systems. Sienna believes most financial stress comes from poor communication, not poor math skills.
Fallon Westbrook
Practical Finance Educator
Former accountant who got tired of watching clients ignore perfectly good advice because it felt too disconnected from reality. Now focuses on teaching methods that people actually use after the workshop ends.
Darcy Pemberton
Financial Wellness Coach
Rebuilt her own finances after a rough divorce in 2019. That experience shapes everything she teaches—particularly around the emotional side of money decisions that most programs ignore completely.
Your Learning Path
We run cohorts twice yearly. Our next program kicks off September 15, 2025, and wraps in early March 2026. Classes meet Tuesday evenings, with optional Saturday workshops once monthly.
Foundation Month
September focuses on getting honest about your current situation. No judgment, just clarity. You'll map your actual spending (not what you think you spend) and identify patterns you've probably never noticed before.
- Spending audit techniques
- Goal-setting frameworks
- Financial values assessment
Building Systems
October through December is where habits form. You'll create budgets that match your lifestyle, not some ideal version of yourself. We work with your reality—irregular income, shared expenses, whatever your situation involves.
- Flexible budgeting methods
- Communication strategies
- Debt management approaches
Advanced Planning
January and February move beyond basics. Emergency funds, larger purchases, dealing with unexpected expenses without panic. This is where most people start feeling actual confidence instead of constant worry.
- Savings strategies
- Major purchase planning
- Crisis preparation
Making It Last
Our final month ensures you're set up for ongoing success. You'll create maintenance plans, identify potential pitfalls, and build support systems. Many participants stay connected through our alumni network afterwards.
- Long-term planning
- Review systems
- Community connection
